My dear Mrs. Richards:
It is with great regret that
Mrs. Truman must decline the invita-
tion you have extended to her and to
Miss Truman from the P.E.O. Michigan
State Chapter to be their guest for
tea on July twenty-eighth.
She feels sure that it will
not be possible for her to go to Michi-
gan at that time. She hopes you will
extend her thanks and sincere apprecia-
tion to Mrs. Murphy and the members of
the Woman's Committee for their gracious
courtesy in whshing her to be with them
at that time.
