    "ocrText": "17\n4 -\nBeach WES forced to withdrau to the north. Blue Beach Force\nwould withdraw to the north along the coast road. Upon\njunction with Red Beach Task Force at the head of the bay,\nthe Brigade would withéraw to the south and west into the\ngreater Zapata area, breaking contact with the enemy and\nassuming guerrilla operational status or preparing for\nevácuation in increments as feasible. Alternate courses of\naction (evacuation or guerrilla status) were to be imple-\nmented as dictated by the circunstances.\nb. In the event Red Beach was cutoff by the eneny\nfrom contact with Blue Beach, the same course of action was\nto be followed by the Red BeacH Force. If, however, the\ncoast road to the Blue Beach area was open and the Blue\nBeach Force holding, the Red Beach Force was to retire to\nthe soc.th to effect junction with Blue Beach.\nc. Blue Beach Force, if cutoff from Red Beach and\ncapable of breaking out, was to move as appropriate to either\nor both. the following areas bordering Blue Beach and attempt\nto evade pursuit and initiate guezrilla operations.\n(1) The area bounded on the north by El Jiqui\nand the Jaguey Grande Red Beach road to the northeastern edge\nof the and thencesouth to the Covadonga/San Blas road\nand the road southwest to Playa Giron.\n(2) The area to the east and north of Blue\nBeach bounded by the Playa Giron, San Blas: Covadonga road\non the west thence southease along the edge of the swamp to\nthe western edge of Cienfuegos Bay.\nd. It was mutually agreed that this plan might not\nbe feasible if either major force (Red or Blue) were closely\npressed sirable by by the the eneny.
