I would see DAVE from time to time\nin the same bar and I flew with him in his airplane on several\noccasions.\nOne night while drinking in the Golden Lantern, DAVE introduced\nme to CLAY SHAW. I was with CLAY SHAW and DAVE for several hours\nthat night which was in Late 1960 or early 1961. From that time on\nI use to see CLAY SHAW on different occasions, you know drinking and\nShows\nso forth. One day in late '61 or early '62 I received a phone call\nfrom DAVE and he asked me if I would like to take an overnight plane\ntrip with him. I said, all right, and then met FERRIE at the airport\nFarri:\nat which time I found out that CLAY SHAW was coming with us. At\nthis time I also found out that we were going to Canada to pick some-\none up. No other explanation was given. While on the trip, CLAY\nSHAW sat in the back of the airplane reading books and slept. SHAW\nalso had a brown brief case with him. On the flight we stopped at\ndifferent places to gas up and stretch our legs. We topped in\nNashville, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky, and Toranado, Canada.\nGrade\nOur final stop was in Montreal, Canada. FERRIE and myself stayed\n(Monthor)\nin a hotel overnight. I believe it might have been the Hilton Air\nor something like that. The hotel was located in Dovral which was\nright outside of Montreal. CLAY SHAW disappeared after we landed and\nI did not see him until the next morning which was about 8 ''clock\nwhen we were ready to leave and come back to New Orleans. When SHAW\narrived at the plane, he had this Mexican or Cuban with him. This\nRuban:\nguy was kind of heavy set, dark complexion, balding in the front, in\nhis early 30': or middle 30's. He sat in the back of the airplane\nwith SHAW and spoke only to SHAW in broken English. The airplane\nthat we used was a Cessna 172 which I believed belonged to a friend\nof FERRIE's. We bought our gas with a Gulf credit card which FERRIE\nhad. When we got back to the Lakefront Airport, I got into my auto-\nmobile and FERRIE and SHAW and the other guy got into another auto-\nmobile and left.\nAbout a month or two later I got another phone call from FERRIE\nasking me if I wanted to make the return trip with him to Canada,\nbut I told him no.\nI have seen SHAW on different occasions in barrooms and at the\nShows:\nInternational Trade Mart up until the time that the District Attorney's\noffice started their investigation. I have heard other people intro-\nduce CLAY SHAW as CLAY BERTRAND, but he has never been introduced to"
