On 11-26-63 it wao learned the FBI Agents had talkod with Jack S. Martin, who admitted that he had boen the informant with rogard to David Milliam Ferrie; that Martin had admittod to FBI Agents that the information which he had furnishod Assistant District Attorney Kohlman was a figment of his imagination and that he had made up the story after reading the nowspapers and watching tolo- vision; that he remembered that Kohlman, a former nowspaper réportor, had written an article or story about Porrie a couple of years ago and that he pieced thé whold thing together in his mind and had given it to Kohlman as Sacts. On the night of 11-29-33 SAIC Riõe and reporting agent interviowed Jack S. Martin a's length in his small run-down apartment located at 2311 N. Prieur Street, New Orlcans, which he shares with his wifo and 6-year old son. Martin, who has ovory appearánco of being an alcoholic, Unitted during the interview that he suffors from "telephonitisuwhen drinking and that 16 was duiring one of his drinking sprees that he tolephoned Assistänt District Abtorney Herman S. Kohlman and told him this fantastic story abous William David Forrie being involved with Lee Harvey Oswald. He said he had heard on belevision that Oswald had at one time beon active in-the Civil Air Patrol and had Iater heard that Ferrie had been his Squadron Commander. Martin otated that Forrio was woll knoim that ho recalled having seon rifles in Ferriets home and also recalled that Kohlman had written an article on Fertio and that Forrie had been a Marine and had been with the Civil Air Patrol. Marsin stated that after turning all those Choughts oves in his mind, he had Horman S. Kohlman and told his story as though it was based on facts rathor than on his imagination, In view of the above, this phase of the invéstigation involving Milliam David Ferrio will be considered closed. UNDEVELOPND LEADS 620 Case romains openFat New Orleans 'pending submission of several additional reports covering investigation thus far conducted, after which the case will be closed horé and investigation dis- continued in accordance with Chiefis instructions,
