le: Interview with Dobert Thornton
NFAA News - 7819 Hillstone
Sir:
Ar. Thornton arrived at the basement of the City Hall at
approximately 10:00 a.m. Sunday, November 24, 1963. He
left the City Hall and called his office and was instructed
to return to the basement of the City Hall and was only gone
approximately 10 minutes. He was required to show his
identification as he re-entered the ramp of the City Hall.
He was standing near the derthwest corner of the basenent
corridor ramp area and recorded the events of the shooting.
Mr. Thornton's tape consists of his recounting Oswald's
appearance on the ramp, the sound of a shot preceded by a
horn blast and a description of the melee as followed. lie
obtained 72 speed tape from lir. Thornton.
Mr. Thornton stated he does not know Jack Ruby and did not
see this man before the shot was fired.
