December 18, 1963 Mr. J. E. Curry Chief of Police Subject: Jirmie L. Turner 6337 Norma Pt. Worth, Texas GL1-2355 - ANí-2484 WBAP-TV Sir: Mr. Turner stated that he was sent to Dallas early Sunday morning, November 24, 1963, and that he was with Homer Venso, and that they had their WBAP-TV gamera set up in the City Hall basement by 9:15 a.m. Their TV was located behind the railing on the east side of the ramp driveway. Turner stated he was behind the camera and near Jack Beors. Turner stated he a press card or press pass, and wha not questioned. He said he saw officers seurohing basement ares and cheeking security early Sunday morning. Mr. Turner said that he know there was some question about a third man on the last TV camera to be brought into the basment, shortly before the shooting, and that he could clear up this question. Turner stated thut as the gamera was brought into the basement he elimbed over the rail, and joined the other two men (Tankerley and Timmone - WBAP-TV) and assisted them get the camera through drivoway. Mr. Turner stated he saw Jaok Huby just a split secent before the shot was fired. He did not know Huby prior to shooting and does not recall seeing this mah in basement. Mr. Turner stated that after the shooting, their camera view was blocked and they noved their camera to the right of Channel 4 gamera, and shot semes of basement from that position. 100c
