November 30, 1963
STATEMENT OF RICHARD A. WATKINS:
I
reported to the City Hall at 10:20 A. M., and was given an
assignment on garage side of the double doors leading into the
jail.
I stayed at this location for ten or fifteen minutes and then
Sergeant Dean assigned me to the head of the ramp by the armored
car. The armored car was parked so close to the West Wall, it
would have been impossible for anyone to have passed through on
the West Side.
No one entered the basement through the Commerce Street ramp
before the shooting, after I was assigned there.
I do not know Jack Ruby.
