November 24, 1963 lir. Jose Curry Chief of Polico Subjoct: Location of Detective H.L. at the time of the Lee Oswald shooting Sir: Prior to the transfor of Lee Osuald, Lieutenant Swain instructed me to go to the basement nout the information desk to assist in the transfor of Les in any Linnor that I might bs neoded. I rodo the main elevetor from the chind floor with tuo WBAP_TV campamen and Detcetives Done Brantley and D.L. Burgess. When I got ors the slevator in the basement I sau a large group of cantamen and newsmen congroghted in the area in front of the jail office vindoas. I tonow that JECK Tuby was not with the tuo 03AP-TV when the: pushed their carrea up to the crowd of other newsmen. I stationed myself in the Benoral area in front of the information desk to avait the transfor. While I was in this arec, the only person I noticed come into doors was Attorney form Howard. He camo in through the the building from either the Comporco Sureet or Harucod Harwood Street Street entrance and walkod up to the jail office window. At this tims Oswald was brought off the jail elevator and Tom Howard turned away from the vindow and went back toward the Street door. He waved at me as he vent by and said, "That's all I wanted to ses." Shortly after that I heard a shot and someone said, "oh". I did nos see the shooting.
