Sir:
On Novembor 22, 1963, at approximately 2:50PM, the undersignod officer
net Spocial Agent Janen Hostz of the Fodoral Bureau of Investigation in
the basement of the City Holl.
At that timo Special Agent Hosty related to this officor that the Subjoct
was a mombur of the Communist Party, and that he was rooiding in Dallas.
The Subject was arrested for the murdor of Officor J.D. Tippit and is a
primo suspect in the assassination of Prosiciont Kennody.
Tho information regarding the Subject's affiliation with the Communist
Party is the first information this officor has rocoived from the Fodoral
Buroqu of Investigation regarding samo.
Agont Hosty furthor stated that the Foderal Burcau of Investigation was
aware of the Subjoct und that they had information that this Subjoct
wus capable of committing the assassination of President Konnedy.
