Alcock, Sciambra and Ivon\nFROM: J im Garrison\nRE:\nAdditional Leads\n1.\nThe \"Murret Lead\": Last year Mark Lane interviewed\nmitro\nthe MURRET. family (Oswald's aunt) and learned that\nsigniture\na few days. after Lee had left New Orleans -- which\nis to say a few days after September 24, 1963 --\ntwo men appeared at the MURRET home to ask where\nLee was. One of them was described by Mrs. MURRET\nas a tall, well-dressed, gray-haired man. When\nshown a number of photographs -- by Mark Lane, who\nconducted the questioning -- Mrs. MURRET picked out\na picture of SHAW as one of the two men. My\nSHAW\nrecollection is that this was a distinct identifica-\ntion, in the sense that she was not hesitant about\nselecting the picture, but that we intended to follow\nit up by bringing her to court so she could see him-\nTo my knowledge this was never done, probably because\nwe were so overloaded with false leads at the time.\nI think that the follow up on this could best be\nhandled by Mark (who will be back in town approximately\nMarch 27th), however -- inasmuch as Mark is not per-\nmanently based here -- a member of the office staff\nshould maintain contact with Mark concerning follow-\nthrough on this lead. (Since SHAW may not be handily\navailable for sometime, perhaps we could obtain some\nfootage from Channel 12 so that persons who have made\na tentative identification of a still photo can see\nhim on film.)\n2. The \"Insurano Company Lead\": This \\information come:\n15\nfrom Waltér Blumstein, who can be contacted through\ndue\nLou Ivon and who is a friend of the office. A man\nis identified only as a\nMot, who employ on Walter's presently Pictures Advertising) description worked then for worked faggot\". for to the to\nMPA (apparently\nand\nWestfeldt Insurance Company.
