Met A. W. and drove to Logan Ranch. Got stuck in mud. 3:30 Went to Johnson City. Voted Absentee. Saw Lucia. 4:30 To Ranch by chopper. Lunch with Pres, the Goodwins, Jesse, Liz 5:00 Left with Liz driving, Mrs. Goodwin to see Mrs. Weinheimer and daylillies. Then to see Jewel Malachek 5:45 Back to Ranch. Heavy Rain. Rest 7:20 Left Ranch by car with Pres, Jesse, Mary Margaret & Jack for Austin. 8:35 Civic Auditorium. (Program was running behind time so left and went to Driskoll. -room 480 9:00 To Auditorium. Pres spoke. Received honorary degrees. Went in room to take off robes and saw John & Nellie Connall y 10:20 Commodore Perry Hotel for reception 11:30 to 12th Floor for private dinner with Pres, Mary Margaret & Jack, Jesse, the Goodwins, Liz, Buzz, Ivan Sinclair, Lynda, Vicki and Marie 12:15 Drove to Auditorium for chopper to ranch-arrived 1:00 am Page No:
