Gardner, Mrs. Moore, and Press. 9:45 Brief stop in Sylva, N.C. to change busses. 9:50 Very brief stop at Sylva-Webster High School - waved to students assembled along road. 10:30 Arrived Canada Township; changed to school bus. 2 10:50 Arrived at road leading to Mathis House; walked 1/4 mile to Mathis House and visited with family. 11:46 Departed area via school bus. 3 12:00 Arrived Canada Township School - Welcoming Ceremony - toured school and had lunch with students. After lunch, brief filming for 7V networks. 1:30 With Sec.
