THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON MRS. LYNDON B. JOHNSON, Daily Diary The LBJ Ranch Mrs. Johnson began her day at (Place) Date Thursday, 4 January 1968 Entry No. Time Activity Worked at desk -- signed mail, etc. 10:00 Visited with Lynda in her room. 11:24 Left the Ranch with Lynda and Chuck. 12:29 Took them to Bergstrom AFB where they left for Washington. 12:35 I left Bergstrom -- went to the Federal Office Building in Austin -- to the President's office on the 9th floor. Lunch -- Sargent Shriver, Chas. Schultze, his ass't., Joe Califano, 2CKellam, Pat, Marie, Jim, & Mary Rather. 4:15 Arrived at Breckinridge Hospital to visit Mrs. Ostrowidski and her daughter who were injured in an automobile accident (Newsman's family) Marie & Jim joined us in the car. 4:37 Stopped in the Oakhill section of Austin to pick up the Connallys. Drove to the LBJ ranch -- toured ranches. 5:45 Returned to the main house. Dinner with the Connallys, Luci & Pat (Lyn was with them), Jim Jones, Marie & Mary R. Retired.
