Ramsoy:\nThia will naknowledge your letter of January 18th.\nProm the tenor of your lettor it ia apparent that the\nlettor was not written with the iden of elaborating on the\nfrots, as you soe them, but rather was calculated to lay upon\nmy doorstop the blemo for 2322 incident of which I had no know-\nlodge nor over which I had may control. ity first information\ncome to no in the form of = wiro from a constituont rolating\nthe difficulties concerning the burial of Folix Longoria and\nbeseeching my apcistance in the matter. At the time that wiro\nreached me the Longoria incident necessarily had alroady occurrod\nand the story about 1t had broicon in the\nIn order that you might ngain hava the feots so far as\nmy actions in the mattor are concernod, I wish to agnin remind\nyou that upon receipt of the wiro I d1a investigate the story\nrelated in the wire. At my own expenso, I called Texas and\ntalked with two different informad and vory objestivo persons\nin whom I have grent confidonce. They had already investigated\nthe story and confirmed the fects substantially as thoy were\nsot out in the wire to I zande arrangements\nto have the body of Folix Longoria laid to rest oither in\nthe Arlington National Cemotory or in the Cemetery\nat Port Houstong Texas. I made no pocomiendations to the\nfamily or anyone olso as to whero the bay should be buried.\nI toll the Longoria farily that I had rade the nbove outlined\narrangenents and that I was happy to do 30. I nskod that they\nndvise ne of their wishos in the nnttor.
