January the Thirteenth
My dear Friend:
I have received a copy of the resolution adoped by your Post
in regard to the regretsble incident at Three Rivers.
As you may know, I was able to make arrangements to have
Pvt. Felix Longoria re-buried with full military honors in
Arlington National Cemetery at Washington where the other heroes
of our nations wars lie buried, I was honored to have this share
in securing for Felix Longoria the last rites befitting a hero
of his stature.
The Members of your Post are to be commended for their
alert and courageous concern for justice in this case.
With my best personal regards.
Sincerely,
Lyndon B. Johnson
Mr. Ed Johnson, Commander
James Edmond Post No. 121
American Legion
Waco,
hb be
Anny - Longoria, Pvt. Felix
