Hon. Lyndon Johnson:
U.S. Senate
Washington, D.C.
My dear Senator Johnson:
I know of nothing you could do as one, of your first
acts in the Senate that would bring Yyou more love, respect and
confidence from the American people as your act of loyalty
to the American Service Man described on the front page of
New York Times of yesterday.
Through Winchell, Pearson and every service man's
magazine, papgrs and periodicels this should be given to the entiri
Nation from every city and hamhet and rural community. It
should span both Oceans through Radio facilities and magazines
and reach the most lowly and lonely American Soldier as a
guarantee they will receive the respect due a soldier as long
as this Nation exists, and will be the best defence against
Communism and lighten the hearts of their loved ones who may
have any doubt as to what the future may bring.
Sincerely
Elizabeth Pangle.
