200 West 57th Street New York 19, New York January 14, 1949 JAN 1:5 A.K Honoreble Senstor Eyndon D. Johnson United States Senste Washington, D. G. Dear Senator: I an very, very proud of you because you have rejuvenated my belief in this country's ideals. We need examples like you have shown with the Mexican soldier to show the world that this country has beliefs that we stick by even though now or then some Southern bigot may do something to make us doubt that this is a free country. The communists of the world will surely not tell their people of your noble deed, and your deed is our best answer to the communists of the world. Mey I congrstulete you upon your stand in this matter and be assured that you have done something that your family and all Americens can be proud of. Sincerely yours, antein A. FEIN [2 of 2]
