January 17, 1949 Ny dear Friend: I appreciate your interest in the case of Felix Longoria, whose family was denied wee of the funeral home chapel at Three Rivers, Texas. My acquaduntence with the facte of the case is simply that x was notified by the President of the Veterane Organ- isation at Corpus Chrieti of the refusal of the funeral home to handle this veteran's body. Upon learning of this x ande arrangements for him to be reburied in Arlington's National Cemetery or at Fort Sam Houston Military Cemetery in San Antonio. Private Longoria's vidow informed me the next day that she would like to have her mubband buried hore at Arlington. Naturally, all the arrangemente about the funeral, in- cluding the date, will be left entirely for the vidow to decide. I am mure she vill appreciate knoving of your thoughtful and helpful interest, and if there is any way in which you or your organization can be of assistance, I vill let you know. with ay best regards, Sincerely Lyndon n.
