Dr. Frederick D. Patterson. President of the United
Negro College Fund, Incorporated wishes to report to the
President on the successful conclusion of the first phase of
the 50 million dollar development campaign. Thirty-two
Negro colleges participate in the joint fund raising efforts
of the United Negro College Fund.

Dr Patterson wishes to impress the President and
the nation on the need for raising a balance of 20 million
dollars of the 50 million dollars that is being sought by the
individual member colleges.
He wishes moral support in the continuing appealfor
reaching the fifty million dollar goal. Dr. Patterson is a
former president of Tuskegee Institute.
