D. 187 l us yet of suid term.\nCOUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, SS.\nGauline Marius\nItappearing to the satisfacti of this Court, by the oaths of\nJ.S. arpin\nand\nCitigens of the United States of America. witnesses for that\nTo be Almitted a Citizen of the United States.\npurpose, first duly sworn and eventined, that leanting Maxius\na\nnative of France\nresided in the United Statev of America\nJose S. arpin\nof said County, being duly sworn, testifies and says\nthree years next preceding his arriving int the age of twenty one years, and that he has continued to reside\nthat he is well acquainted with the above named Gauting Mariis\nin the United States to the present time, and has reside: wil thin the limits and under the jurisdiction of the\nand has\nUnited States five yenrs at least last past; and within the Sente of California for one year last past; and\nbeen so acquainted with him for tive years. and that the said Hanting Manies\nthat during all of said five years' time he has behavel a , a man of gond moral character, attache l to the\nhas continually resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States of America for\nprinciples of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and hrapine is of the\nfive years last past, and for one year last past within the State of California, and that during such time he\nsame; and the said applinanti hasdeclared his intention to benome a citizen of the United States; and having\nhasbehaved himself as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nnow here, before this Court taken an oath, that he will support the Con stitution of the United States\nof\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nAmerica, and that he doth absolutely und entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance und fidelity to every\nArting\nforeign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, anil particularly to the Republic\nof France\nSubscribed and sworn to in open Court this\n11th day of October A.
