    "ocrText": "DECLARATION OF INTENTION\nUNITED STATES OF AMERICA.\nSTATE OF CALIFORNIA, }-\nCOUNTY OF LOS ANGELES.\nde It That on the\n30\nday of Des\nA. 0,1887 personally\nappeared in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, before the Clerk thereof,\nWillian. an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being\nduly sworn, on oath declares that he is a native of Scotland\naged 42\nthat he emigrated thence, embarked at Demedin\nyears, and owes allegiance to Queen of England etc\nand arrived\nat San Francisco\nin the United States, on the\nday of September\n1887, and that it is Bona Fide his intention to reside in, and become a Citizen of the United\nStates, and to renounce all allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate or Sovereignty whatever,\nand particularly\nto Queen of anyland ele\nWilliam Oliver matthewson.\nSubscribed and Sworn to before me this\n30\nday\nof Dec\n188%.\nSeal\nan Cestimony I letter moor\nClerk of said Superior Court, hereunts set my hand and\nOfficial Seal, this\n30th\nof Dae\nday\n1887. Clerk.\nBy Deputy.\nDECLARATION OF INTENTION:\nUNITED STATES OF AMERICA.\nSTATE OF CALIFORNIA,\nss.\nCOUNTY OF LOS ANGELES.\nBe it anown, That on the\n30\nday of\nDee\nA. D. 1887. personally\nappeared in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, before the Clerk\nan alien, and reports being\nthereof hiniself James for Naturalization, Littell and\nduly sworn, oath declares that he is native of Scotland\non a\naged 43.\nyears, aud owes allegiance to Queen Victoria\nthat he emigrated thence, embarked at Glasgon\nand arrived\nat\nnew york\nin the United States, on the\n4 day of april\n1880, and that it is Bona Fide his intention to reside in, and become a Citizen of the United\nStates; and to renounce all allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate or Sovereignty whatever,\nand\nparticularly to Queendation\ngames Liddell\nSubscribed and Sworn to before me\nthis ed\nday\nof Dec\n1887\nan Cestintong\nClerk of said Superior Court, hereunto set my hand and\ninst\nOfficial Seal, this\n30\nday\nof\nDre\nClerk.\nDeputy."
