D. 188 8. personally\nappeared in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, before the Clerk thereof, a. any\nan alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and\nbeing duly sworn, on oath declares that he is a native of Fiance\naged\n44\nyears, and owns allegiazice to the Republic of France\nthat he emisrator thence, embarked at\nat Aee york\nBenelogue\nand arrived\nin the United States, on the\n3d\nday of april\n18t7gand that it is Bona Fide his intention to reside in, and become a Citizen of the\nUnited States, and to renounce all allegianee and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate or Sovereignty\nwhatever, and particularly to the Republic of France\nSubscribed and Sworn to ber ore me, this\n17 th day\nof September\n1885.\nIn Gestimony Whereof, I, (H.D environment\nClerk of said Superior Court, hereunto set my hand and\nSEAL.\nOfficial Segl, this 17 th\nday\nof.
