Naturalization Examiner, presents this, its petition, and respectfully represents: ourt THAT on May 20, 1914 Fridolin Meier , , a native of 7. switserland , and a subject of Switmerland , filed his declaration of intention to become a citizen of the United States, No. 7301 in this court; ears, sonal THAT the said alien, at a time when the Government of the United States was at war with a sovereignty other than that to which the said alien owed allegiance, under oath, in affidavit form, before Local Board No. 4 thes, . for Los Angelas (County) Redondo Beach No. California , , , claimed relief (City) (Division) (State) found from liability to military service in the armies of the United States, and further under oath declared that he, the shid alien, had made the declaration to become a citizen of the United States herein referred to, and that it was well known to him that under Federal statute, to wit, the act of Congress appreved July 9, 1918, his eside act of claiming relief from liability to military service in the armies of the United States operated to withdraw and cancel his declaration of intention, and for- l ever debarred him from becoming a citizen of the United States; nd THAT the said Local Board hereinbefore named, in pursuance of the provisions of the said act of July 9, 1918, and of Regulation No. 1174 of the Selective Service / last Regulations by the President of the United States, governing the withdrawal of dec- larations of intention by neutral aliens, and their exemption from military service, accorded to the said alien exemption from such military sorvice. reign WHEREFORE, Your petitioner, the United States of America, prays that in pursu- ance of the said act of July 9, 1918, the declaration of intention No. 7301 filed by the said alien in this court as above stated, be cancel.ed and held for naught, and an order be entered in and upon the records of this court, forever debar oject ; ring the said alien from citizenship, and that a copy of said order be sent to the Bureau of Naturalization, United States Department of Labor, at Washington, D. c. n the Indians day Gatei Naturalization Examiner not a MAR 4 1919.
