Original Caption: Imperial Domain of the Golden Dragon - This is to certify that Howard G. Mundt was duly inducted into the Silent Mysteries of the Far East, having crossed the 180th Meridian at 0445, 11-12 July 1945 in Latitude 16 degrees 45' North on Board the USS Burleigh (APA-95). Golden Dragon August ruler of the 180th Meridian - J.W. McElroy, Commander USNR.

He was also a friend of Howard Mundt (American Red Cross Field Director), and he happened to run into Howard on the Island of Tinian where he served as an MP. Photograph taken between June and August, 1945, Tinian Island."
