Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg (ERR) Photograph Album Number Eight
This photograph album, "Foto-Mappe Nr. 8," contains photographs created by the staff of the Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg (ERR) für die Besetzten Gebiete to assist in the confiscation of private art collections from Nazi-occupied territories. Volume eight contains photographs of artwork by François Boucher and Hubert Robert, who were both French painters of the Rococo style. The paintings found in the photographs cover a variety of genre paintings, with such subjects as romantic landscapes, allegories, and portraiture. Also included is an inventory, with descriptions of the artwork titles and ERR confiscated collection numbers. The item numbers of the inventory descriptions do not correspond to the pages found in the album. Item numbers 12, 14, 17, 19, 20, 24, and 25 are not included in the album. Inventory number DW 34, titled "Die Apollo-Rotunde im Louvre" has no image included.
