MEMORANDUM FOR: Mr. Theodore L. Eliot, Jr.
Executive Secretary
Department of State
SUBJECT: Establishment of US-FRG Hotline
I am in agreement with the draft exchange of letters and
Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of
a US-FRG hotline contained in your memorandum of
August 7, 1969 (#S/S 12104). The State Department may
proceed with the formal exchange of documents with the
German Embassy after ensuring final coordination with
the Department of Defense.
