MEMORANDUM
NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL
4528
ACTION
June 3, 1972
MEMORANDUM FOR MR. KISSINGER
FROM:
Helmut Sonnenfeldt
the
SUBJECT:
Message to the President from Trudeau
The Canadian Embassy has delivered a very warm message to the
President from Prime Minister Trudeau welcoming the President home
and congratulating him on the accomplishments of the Moscow visit
(Tab B)
The information memorandum for your signature at Tab A would forward
the text of Trudeau's message to the President.
Trudeau's message evidently crossed the one sent from Air Force One.
I assume a more substantive Presidential letter should be sent when
the other messages to heads of government go out.
RECOMMENDATION
That you sign the memorandum to the President at Tab A.
Reproduced at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library
