HAK explained to van der Beugel that he has to leave for Florida
with the President on Friday and will not return to Washington
until Sunday night or Monday afternoon and would therefore
not be able to see him here on Sunday. HAK said if there is
a courier plane going to Key Biscayne, perhaps VDB could come
down to Fla on that on Sunday. VDB explained that he has to
be in NY Sunday night and is leaving for Holland Monday night,
but would be glad to go to Florida SO long as he gets to NYC
Sunday night. this cannot be arranged,-HAK-will-telephene - -
V-DB-on Sunday- and they-will
HAK agreed to leave message at Regency Hotel in NYC where
VDB will be xxkaxy staying on Friday night or at the Mayflower
in Washington on Saturday. If Florida deal cannot be worked
out they agreed to have a long chat by phone on Sunday.
