David Rockefeller
Mr. Kissinger
2-13-69
10:15 AM
K said he will be going to Europe with the President and will be tied up
until then. R said he is leaving for Europe tomorrow. K asked if he
would be seeing Strauss - R said yes.
K asked R to find out if he (I did not hear xfx all of this and assume "he"
is Strauss) could come to breakfast with K on Feb 27
at 7:00 AM at hotel or perhaps he could come at 7:00 the
evening of Feb 26.
R said he would be glad to speak to George Harrar re the job. K said he
would check with Rogers to be TXX sure he had been offered the job.
R mentioned letter he had received some time ago from former President
of South Vietnam and asked to whom he should sent it. K said R could
send it to him and he would pass it on.
Secy Rogers

K said President has now gone over this thing (Chinese letter, I guess) and
XX there are just a few minor changes.
K said he had justé talked with David Rockefeiller and he would be happy
to talk with Harrar if R thought it would help. R said he would call Rockefeller.
R said Scranton had called to say he did not want to do it.
