Mr. Kissinger
6-11-69
4:20 PM
C said she understands K is going to marry the very beautiful and
brilliant Nancy Maginnes. K said he could not stop C from writing
that but it will turn out to be wrong. C said ahe must have been told
that by 50 different people - everyone thinks they are an absolutely
delightful couple. K said there is nothing to it. C said she is going
to quote K. K said he would just as soon not be quited . K said
although he is flattered to be in social pages, he has absolute passion
about not having his private life written about. He has no intention
of getting married but if he does, C will be among the first he tells -
K said he XOX would not advise C to hang around the phone waiting for
that.
C said she found K enormously fascinating - can't put her finger on it.
She was watching him with Mrs. Luce at TIME dinner and asked if
he always ate nuts and drank champagne.
