L said he thinks Pres might be asked tomorrow in Q&A about
division between CIA and Laird as far as SS9 is concerned. L said
there is meeting scheduled for Monday at 10:30 at FA Committee
with him and Helms together. K asked it if it could be put off until
Tues and L said no because Helms is leaving for Europe. L said
he would send over a sheet that K can look at. L said as far as President's
statement there were a couple of things that should be changed.
K said he has L's changes here and would go over them immediately.
L asked if K had copy before him and K said yes. L went over his changes,
explaining why they were being made. K said he thinks all of the changes
make it more precise. L said people do not think he leans over backwards
on these things, but he does. L said he was also sending over something
else which K could use if he wanted to.
K said he and L should get together and he would have Haig call Persley.
L asked about tomorrow for a possible meeting and K said right
