General Wheeler -
8:45 a.m. 9/3/69
Wheeler brought up his previous conversation with HAK and said
that on the first subject, he didn't realize until he reviewed
his notes that they were taliing cross subjects. The change in
the mission had already been issued. He got a memo from Laird
on the 15th of August. He apologized for the misunderstanding.
The changes in nomenclature which he had discussed with General
Abrams about have already been put into effect. He didn't
believe this would cause any trouble. K said there was a mix
up here about the memo Laird had sent in. He thought that if
he didn't hear anything by the 15th it was o.k. to go ahead
and wouldn't have to double check for approval.
