Hugh Morrow
12:00 Noon 9/25/69
K had read the proposed statement by the Governor in response
to Sen. Goodell's legislation re troop withdrawals. He had a
couple suggestions which Morrow took and said he would show
them to the Governr. He thought the suggestions were very good.
K mentioned that he had breakfast with Senator Javits this
morning. Javits thinks this is a profound mistake and if it gets
to a Rockefeller/Goodell ticket, Goodwill would have a hard time
winning without Javits' support.
