Telecon Paul Keyes 12/4/69 11:36 p.m. K said he was calling with a presumptuous question. Keyes said no, you couldn't. K said yes I could. Keyes said you want Zsa Zsa's tele- phone number? K said no, that I've already got; maybe you can get me some others. K said he's got a problem; he's supposed to talk to the Gridiron Club on Saturday night and supposed to be humorous, and that's not his forte. Keyes said he would volunteer to help SO K wouldn't have to ask. Keyes said it would be his pleasure; he would thoroughly enjoy doing it. Keyes asked for details about the occasion. K said there are two big affairs, the white tie one for which you did the Agnew thing which I liked SO much. K said this is slightly less formal, but essentially the same thing. K said Ehrlichmen and Harlow are speaking. Keyes asked in what order; said K should be last. K said he may be last because he's going with the President to Arkansas. K said you know the image thay have of me. K said the only thing he would go easy on is not needling the State Department. K said he doesn't mind making fun of himself. Keyes said he would call K today or tomorrow to tell K some; see if they're on the same beam. K said he appreciates this enormously. Keyes said my pleasure sir.
