Telecon Mr. Kissinger Senator Javits 1/8/70; 10:55 p. m. J said he got a bad reaction from all the shots. J said he didn't want to come to Washington unless K thought it was vital. J said he had a suggestion -- he wanted to know if K could send his assistant up to see J. J said he would greatly appreciate it. K said the only trouble is that I am not sure my assistant has my point of view. J wanted to know what flexibility there was in getting there during the day. K said it was a bad day. J asked when he should call. K said call me about 10:00 a.m. if you can't make it maybe I can talk to you on the telephone. J said he was very anxious on having K's thoughts. J asked if they could play it by ear the first thing in the morning. K said okay and added if I send up my assistant he will tell you essentially what Sisco told you -- and what I have to say won't be that much different. Reproduced at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library DECLASSIFIED This document has been reviewed pursuant to Executive Order 13526 and has been determined to be declassified.
