    "ocrText": "Telecon\nSenator Javits\n1/5/70 12:40 p.m.\nJ: I'm going to the Middle East Friday night.\nI had a long talk with Joe Sisco about the situation there and\nwhat it looks like and what they were doing. I think if I'm\ngoing to have be able to accomplish anything I've got to have\nsome concept of what the President feels about the future of it.\nI don't want to get you involved, but you and I have talked about\nit. I think it's a difficult moment, but not irreparable; it had\nbetter not be. I didn't want to go without trying to get an\nauthoritative position.\nK: Well, there's a chance I'll be back this Thursday;\nI hate to do it on the telephone. Maybe we could talk on Friday.\nJ: That's the day I leave. If we've got to do it\nFriday, let's do it first thing in the morning. It's going to\nbe a rough day.\nK: As soon as I know my schedule I'm going to call you.\nI want to give you the nuances. I can give you the party line\nbut that you can get elsewhere.\nJ : Bear in mind that I'm going Friday night.\nK : You're not going El Al?\nJ :\nNo.\nK: I'll call you as soon as I know my schedule. Oh\nand for your information, I'm trying to get additional money\nfor the Aga Kahn. It won't be a hell of a lot, but it will\nshow he didn't waste his time or his friendship for us.\nJ : Yes. And he can be very helpful to us.\nK: I know.
