VP: So that I will be aware for my Face the Nation speach Sunday, what
is the current state of the Arab-Israeli business. I have been getting a
distorted picture.
K: Let me give you
VP: Can you get me a memo on it?
K: A memo with out position awith out recommendations. We have a memo
to the President on this for his press conference Friday night.
VP: Someone wants me to meet with Pompidou and excort him to the ???
I didn't think it's good because of the Libyan jets thing and I turned it off
K: When? Did you give your reason?
VP: This morning. Did I do right? He doesn't know a thing
K: Then it's alreight. Wilson wants to talk to you at one of the social
functions. Are you coming tonight? 11
VP: Yes
K: Are you coming to the lunch tomorrow?
VP: No
K: Let me talk to your staff and arrange 5 or 10 minutes with him for you.
I think it would be good for you.
