H: The President thinks it's a good idea for you to call Sen. Williams (of
Deleware) down and give him the same briefing as Stennis. Use him as
a guinea pig - in if it's necessary to defens our men we may have to go in.
The President would expect you to back him.
K: Is Williams on the Foreign Relations committee?
H: Apparently.
K: I will call him right away. Of course, now he is meeting with Rogers.
H: Then if he says he will not support the President, that's information too.
