V: You know this report that had the figure in it. This was the summary for
1 May and it had the item in it.
K: Where did it go?
V: The WH, the Chairman, the Secy. of Defense, and my office. There's no
question in my mind that it's based on that. It's a wrong figure SO whoever has
that memo that's where it was.
K: You will send the intelligence on the other stuff. You are doing a great job.
Are you optimistic?
V: You will find it's the greatest thing you have ever done SO long as we stand firm.
K: The thing that would help us is if we can conclude any one of these operations.
But don't conclude it if there's one cache left.
V: It will be over soon. This will really set them back.
K: The President will breef the foreign relations committee so if k any figures
you can have by 3:00 tomorrow will help. If they have a cache that they can't
count -- I have mentioned the figure of 10 tons of rockets but it was more meaningful
to have it in terms of numbers of rockets.
