Moorer: I just finished a two-hour talk with our friend.
HAK: They also came to see me.
Moorer: They were anxious to help.
HAK: It is an unbelievable situation. They told our Ambassador three
weeks ago that they wanted to do something and I have never heard about it
or seen anything. They said they want to equip 10 battalions. I have never
seen anything to that effect. Have you?
Moorer: No. Zumwalt said he was working on this. They are very anxious
to get in the act.
HAK: Will you staff this and give us some idea of how much it will cost
and how much it will take. Of course, we will replace it.
Moorer: Yes, I will.
HAK: We are going to start moving on this now.
Moorer: XXXXXX Can I call you on the secure phone? I have something
else to discuss.
HAK: Yes. , Of course.
