C: One thing I wanted to introduce myself. I am covering the WH now.
I am getting a call from my office in Washington about a second
peace planx.
K: I don't know what they are taling about.
C: Following removal from Cambodia we are going to try to re-new peace
talks.
K: I don't know about that. I am usually the last to be told. The press
usually is the first.
C: May I talk to you about this on a backgrounder basis.
K: Now I am completely tied up. Next week perhaps.
C: Is it in the works?
K: We have always wanted talke started.
CL Following our pullout from Cambodia?
K: N thing immediately and anything else is speculation.
C: That means the President will not make a new peace initiative announcement
K: I told Roberts there was no reaeong for him to come out here.
C: This must have come from your briefing yesterday.
K: I said that after the military phase we would hope there would be some-
thing on the negotiation stage.
C: Nothing more then generalities?
K: That's all I said yesterday and I will not go beyond that.
C: Could we get together next week?
K: Certainly. Next week after the speech. I am tied up now until then.
