K: I get the feeling in view of what the Secy. of State said about diplomatic
initiatives that maybe the President will address this next week. Habib
? ? ? ? ? ? ? Romanians seeing the President for an hour.
Romanians being an intermediary between us and Hanoi. If I was to go on
my own that the President raised something with the Romanians, would I be
in left field?
HAK: Probably. I am saying it as a friend.
K: You are saying don't go with it?
HAK: Yes.
K: I don't want to look silly. I have to go man who can tell me. Are you
doing other initiatives?
HAK: I will not make any other comments but that wouldn't be on the mark.
