K: The President has decided to go ahead with Swank. He would appreciate
it if you would send it up ASAP.
J: Have you any more
with you? I will haxxex go on agrement right
away. I will have papers on the Hill then.
K: How long to get him confirmed?
J: It may take time. There may be a hassle. They will try to use it as a point
to talk about policy and get at policy. I hope I am wrong.
K: Hewill want to see Swank at some point. If it's convenient for him to stop
by here - -
J: Hetalked about coming by a week from today or tomorrow. He's on vacation nov
K: Let's do it a week from tomorrow.
J: I will be in touch with him.
