It will probably be a little while longer.\nK: He's seeing the Secretary tomorrow isn't he?\nS: There's nothing I know of. Maybe later on in the week. Then I\ndid what we talked about Saturday night. I've put that down on a piece of\npaper and I'll send it over to you tomorrow. just for you,, won't go\nto anyone else.\nK: Well, the President wanted me to tell you that he was extremely\npleased by what you did yesterday. He doesn't expect it but if you get\nany flack from anyof your colleagues, he wanted you to know that he's\nbehind you.\nS: Well, between you and me xxdxx the only flack I got was from the\nSecretary of State.\nK: Really? The President is a terribly preceptive man. He told me\nhe would bet me a thousand to one that you got hell from the Secretary and\nhe wanted me to call you and reassure you. I didn't pick that up. What\ndid he give you hell about?\nS: It's a long story. Let's just say that I took it and it'sover. I just\ndon't want this thing to go on.\nK: Nothing you say to me will go on.\nS: Well, first, he thinks there's been too much talking. I said to him\nthat you and I did a good job. And he's got a thing about \"expel. 11 I defended\nit.\nK: Did he read the transcript?\nS: Apparently he didn't. Of if he did, he didn't understand it. I said I\nthought what was done in the White House was right. You retracted it. I\nsaid the President decided to put the emphasis onthe Soviet objective.\nHe says we've started a great war crisis in the country. I said we have\nonly alerted the people. Idon't see a war crisis. But I got hell.\nK: You ppor bastard.\nS: What was said at the President's meeting."
