I think if you agree\nwe should tell him that if she comes for something clearly not official\nand if she doesn't come with a big shopping list, it may be good to\ntwist her arm in this new phase\nS: This new phase isn't really relevant to her coming. I don't disagree\nwith this. I told Rabin that my concern is that if she comes here, she\nwould find it very difficult to come here without really pumping us\nabout what America has got to do. I told Rabin that we have now finally\nestablished this military relationship\nWe don't want Golda to come\nhere asking for credit. What good would it do when we're doing SO well.\nOn the other hand, if she insists, how can the President turn her down.\nK: XXX If you don't get a reply for a week, when you ask again, we\ncan wait another week. Then if you don't get a reply, we don't go.\nSince he's pressed twice, I don't think we can refuse. Tell me if\nyou think we can refuse.\nS: It is not a good idea. I told him it is not a good idea.
