K: I just wanted you to know that the Israelis have announced today
that they would accept ceasefire. Official notification will come on
Sunday. It is on the radio. There may be some conditions attached.
We really don't know the official answer except that it is affirmative.
Bill will want to make a statement today. Joe Sisco doubts we should
make a statement without official notification.
P: We might as well let them do it. I have a feeling that it would
be good to have it come while he's here. I also just looked at the
morning Times. Lurrey says something about the Israeli cea se-
fire.
K: If we get statement in such a form that we are preempting their
statement.
