Brian McDonnell/Mr. Kissinger August 8, 1970 1:05 p.m. j1j M: Hello Henry. K: Brian, how are you? M: Fine. I promised our mutual friend I would call you to make sure you got the message. He met with a member of your staff, Mr. Saunders. K: I didn't get any message. M: He wanted you to be aware of Dr. S.R. Sen availability in case there is any difficulty in the formal communications. Mr. Sen is the Executive Director of the World Bank. He is very close to the Prime Minister. If communication has difficulty in the normal channels this man could prove very helpful. K: That is very interesting. M: Jah (sp?) has been called back and if there is any difficulty with communications. He was worried about channels. K: I am very glad to have this. It is very interesting. Where are you? M: Home in Wellingport (sp?). I also talked to another mutual friend of ours, Shirley. She went back to California. K: Yes, she and I are having an interesting relationship. We are always on the opposite side of the continent from each other. I called her to tell her the coast was clear and she can come out now. Are you coming to Washington? I would like to see you when you come to town. M: Yes, in the next couple of weeks. By the end of the month I will be down. K: I will not be here from about the 19th through September 8. How are your financial problems? Have you settled them? M: I'm still working on it. K: I think I will help if you get into problems. M: Have you ever heard of a man at the UN by the name of - hold on a minute, I want to know if you know this man. Moni Chada (phonetic). Worked for UN for 2-1/2 years. He's a Sikh which is very surprising.
