S: I can get you easier in Calif. than in Washington.
K: I almost didn't take the call because I hate to destroy my image.
S: We have the Gleason case before the President out there.
K: He wants to wait until the end of the week.
S: I talked to Packard.
K: The President has a foreign policy problem and it's not anything now to do
with security. If we could get two weeks, that would be ideal.
S: He has his last extendion. He will have to go to Russians to get another.
K: Wait a week. You don't need it until the 31st. It's clearing up.
S: If the President has any personal problem he can say informally go ahead
and do it.
K: We are trying to get foreign policy benefit from it. Bug me again on
Thurs.
S: I will call you again on Thursday.
