Even with helicopter losses, casualties will be low this week. The accumulated
totals on Thursday were 29 but the helicopters weren't included.
P: And that's 36 more.
K: It's about 75.
P: Or 90. 36 yesterday plus some wounded and 2 days left.
K: One day. It ends Sat. night. This morning their time.
P: I see. So that's probably it. That's great -- did you find out about that
crash? I want to be sure our poeple aren't getting careless. We hear a lot
about helicopters -- if we don't use helicopters to go from place to place
more would be killed. It's just that these crashes are spectacular. What
is your feeling? Is the helicopter intended to be used this way?
K: It's amazing that they
something but it would be hard to pin it down.
When Moorer is here I will have a private talk with him.
P: The use of helioopters. We have lost a thousand of them.
K: Brezhnev gave a speeach yesterday adxxxx that was conciliatory.
P: You said Walters
K: Is meeting with them this morning and should have an anser in the hour. On
the time.
P: Our reply. The other things is your response from Roshnov - - or whatever
his name is. (Probably referring to Vorontsov - dcm).

P: That's as late as it can. They will do it or we will go on another course.
