R: I am back. Saturday.
K: How are you?
R: Fine. Everything in life is relative but I have become much more encouraged
from the

R: In spite. The question of maintaining the Suez Canal and other options still
open to us which looked here worse than it should have.
K: Are you going to say this to our other people?
R: Yes. It depends on the amount of equipment we get. I believe it's
??? we get the better, there will be. The political situation depends on the
military situation. Regardless of the unpleasant things that have occured
we can manage.
K: That's good to hear.
R: The subject I wanted to discuss is the visit. According to her, whex she
will be here on the 20th of Sept. to launch the bonds drive in NY. I think it
would be better if she sees him on Friday, the 18th for any public appearance.
K: Let me see if I can arrange that.
R: She will come on the 17th and shex will meet him on the 18th, here. Because
otherwise it would force her to make a public appearance before the meeting
which is not adviseable.
K: She will not put him on a spot on public appearancv afterwards?
R: Did you see her on "Face the Nation?"
K: No.
R: The purpose of her appearance was not to put him on the spot.
K: Right.
R: I think it's understood by her.
K: I will do my best and let you know in a day or two. I don't see any insupport-
